Dayton winters bring the real thing, so a holiday event here is about getting families indoors, giving them a photo they will keep, and keeping the teenagers busy. Here is how Miami Valley planners build the holiday event with a life-sized snow globe and holiday VR, what it costs, and what to confirm before you book.

Step Inside a Winter Wonderland: The Dayton Human Snow Globe

The Human Snow Globe is a walk-in inflatable snow globe with a holiday backdrop and soft prop snowballs. Families step inside, take the photo they will frame, then have a snowball fight on the way out. It sets up indoors in a gym, fellowship hall or community room, and it becomes the line everyone joins at Centerville school festivals and Beavercreek church events.

• Size. 16.5 ft long, 10 ft wide and 12 ft tall, so plan a flat setup area with overhead clearance.
• Capacity. Comfortably fits a family of five at a time for photos.
• Entry. An airtight walk-in chamber lets guests enter and exit without the globe deflating between groups.
• Power. One standard 20 amp household outlet runs the blower.
• Pricing. Dayton Human Snow Globe rentals start at $699.

Holiday VR Games Your Whole Crowd Can Play

The snow globe pulls in the families. Holiday VR keeps the older kids, teens and dads engaged for the rest of the night, and it runs entirely indoors. Our Meta Quest headsets arrive charged, sanitized and loaded with a seasonal lineup, and a Freedom Fun coach runs every station so nobody on your committee has to learn the controllers.

Seasonal titles from the VR Game Guide, all rated All Ages:

• Walkabout Mini Golf, Holiday Course: a snowy, festive round for the whole family.
• Rec Room Winter Rooms: snowball-fight style mini games that rotate in all season.
• Beat Saber Holiday Playlist: festive tracks for the rhythm station.

Round out the lineup with All Ages crowd favorites like Beat Saber, Gorilla Tag, Job Simulator and Ocean Rift.

Best picks by event:

• Church or youth event: Walkabout Mini Golf, Rec Room, Nature Treks, Beat Saber
• HOA or festival: Beat Saber, Ocean Rift, Walkabout Mini Golf
• Family or kids' party: Beat Saber, Job Simulator, Gorilla Tag, Walkabout Mini Golf

Good to know: mature titles are locked out at kids' and family events. Add a live screen so the crowd can watch the player's view. Almost any Meta Quest title can be requested with about a week's notice. VR runs indoors or under cover, a natural fit for school gyms, church halls, community centers and holiday parties at home. Dayton VR starts at $50, with the final price based on headsets, hours and hosting.

Winter Wonderland Night: The Official Holiday Bundle

Winter Wonderland Night. Holiday VR with the Walkabout Mini Golf Holiday Course, Rec Room Winter Rooms and the Beat Saber Holiday Playlist, a walk-in Human Snow Globe for family photos, then a Christmas classic on the big screen. Add a snow machine for real falling snow.

Save 10% when you bundle two or more.

Other combinations Dayton planners put together:

• Holiday VR to warm up the crowd, then a Christmas classic on the big screen. Indoor movie nights work well here in December. See Dayton movie screen rentals.
• A Christmas-themed bounce house plus the Human Snow Globe and Holiday VR for a full indoor festival. Ask the team about holiday inflatables, and see this season's Dayton specials.
• Want falling snow indoors? A snow machine is an optional add-on to any of these. Ask the team.

Planning a public movie screening for a school, church or HOA? Renting a screen does not include public performance rights. Read Movie Licensing Made Simple to see when a license is needed and how we can handle it for you.

Dayton Snow Globe and Holiday VR FAQs

Does the snow globe work indoors?
Yes. Most Dayton holiday events set it up inside a gym, fellowship hall or community room. It also works outdoors on a flat surface when the weather allows.

How many people fit in the globe?
A family of five fits comfortably for photos, and the walk-in chamber keeps groups moving.

Is it safe for kids?
Yes. The snowballs are soft cotton, and the globe is a commercial, custom-built inflatable with an airtight entry.

What power do you need?
The snow globe runs on one standard 20 amp outlet. Each VR headset needs a standard outlet within 50 ft for charging and a clear 10 by 10 ft play space.

Which VR games are kid-safe?
Every title in the VR Game Guide carries an age rating. Mature titles are locked out at kids' and family events, and the seasonal holiday titles are all rated All Ages.

Does VR need internet?
Only multiplayer games that connect across headsets need Wi-Fi or a hotspot. Tell us if you want head-to-head play and we will plan the connection.

Can we add falling snow?
Yes, as an optional add-on. The snow effect is dry to the touch, does not accumulate, and can make slick indoor floors slippery over long runtimes, so we plan placement with you.

Do you require a deposit?
A 30% deposit reserves your date. With free rescheduling, you can move your event without losing it.

Your Dayton Holiday Booking Checklist

1. Pick your date and confirm the venue address.
2. Decide the centerpiece: snow globe, VR or the Winter Wonderland Night bundle.
3. Measure the indoor setup area and check ceiling height for the 12 ft globe.
4. Confirm outlets for the globe and VR headsets.
5. Note your crowd ages so we set the VR lineup.
6. For public movie screenings, plan the license two to three weeks out.
7. Book early. November is the busiest booking month for holiday dates.
